The continued growth of helicopter aviation requires the acceptance and support of the people who live and work in our communities and who are affected by helicopter noise. Each of us as aviation professionals has an obligation to fly neighborly and represent our industry responsibly. NASA, the FAA, Volpe and members of the HAI Fly Neighborly / Environmental Working Group have developed scientifically tested operational and safety strategies for noise abatement techniques in crucial phases of flight.
