The purpose and goal of this course is for learners to gain more tools to evaluate asses and treat difficult shoulder problems in less time and with less expense to the patient.

LEARNING OPJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:
• Learn and understand interactive documentation tools and therapeutics treatment parameters to objectively measure and motivate the patient through the rehabilitation process.
• Describe and identify how to effectively position patients to maximize the benefits of therapeutic exercises, procedures and modalities.
• Describe and identify creative therapeutic exercises and techniques that consider all functional planes of movement and incorporate the evidence-based kinetic link model on how you evaluate your arm overhead for ADL’s, industry and sport.
• Learn and understand how to examine the shoulder and interpret exam findings to guide and direct intervention.   
• Take and pass at 75% exam to receive certificate

Joe Mullins, M. Ed., LAT, ATC, is the founder of Athletic Training & Conditioning, Inc. He’s earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He’s earned his Masters of Education degree in Athletic Training from the University of Virginia. He is an allied health professional certified nationally as a Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association. He is licensed by the State of North Carolina to practice as an Athletic Trainer. Mr. Mullins also holds a clinical position at Guilford Orthopaedics in Greensboro, NC where his specializations are in treating the overhead athlete, functional orthopedic evaluations, movement analysis and program design. He has enjoyed working with middle school, high school, collegiate, professional and Olympic athletes during his 20+ year sports medicine career. In addition to working with baseball pitchers and their performance, he has taught courses in the Masters Athletic Training Program and undergraduate curriculum for the Department of Kinesiology at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. His early career included providing rehabilitative and musculoskeletal care for NASCAR drivers and crews through Motor Racing Outreach, and working as the Head Athletic Trainer for Mount Olive College, in Mount Olive, NC. Currently he travels around the country speaking on the function and rehabilitation of the shoulder.

0.4 CEU’s (4 contact hours) Type Two: This workshop will teach therapists specific skills for evaluation and treatment intervention with patients or clients.

CE Credit: A certificate of completion for 0.4 CEU (4 contact hours) will be awarded after completing the course & successfully earning 75% or better on quiz.
